This past weekend, Nepal suffered a devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake near its capital of Kathmandu. This beautiful and fascinating country is also one of the poorest in Asia, which has unfortunately increased the impact this disaster has had with thousands of people being killed, injured, and left homeless due to being more vulnerable. Countless historical and World Heritage sites have also been damaged and destroyed. Many people in Nepal are also living in rural areas and have been cut off from desperately needed aid. There are also still hundreds of people missing and stranded on Mount Everest. The government institutions and administrations are also severely hampered from assisting its citizens in this time of need.
